It’s a hard question - what is art? As a graphic designer - I’m constantly being reminded that I’m not creating art, I’m designing.

So what is art? Music? Painting? Sculpture? Reubens’ naked fat chicks? Duchamp’s urinal? Dripping black ink on your hand?

For instance, my wife isn’t so keen on modern art. We went to the Tate Modern last year, and I spent most of the time explaining why I thought something was cool - and she spent most of the time saying, ‘But it’s stupid, I could get some fluoro lights and put them at a 45 degree angle too!’

So today I’m wanting you to speak your mind. Don’t be wishywashy and say, ‘its in the eye of the beholder’ I want to know what YOU think is art.

Give it a go You never know - 25 words or less competition answers could one day be in a museum.
