Where Were You When You Were Five?

Today’s competition is a different one - I hope. I like to get to know people, and I’d love to know something about you. Where were you when you were five? And why?

When I was five I was living in the only other house I have ever lived in. In Eastwood here in Sydney, here in Australia. Why was I there? Because my parents lived there too. Apparently I had no choice. But it was close to the train station - which was on the way to work for my father. A previously middle class and very white European suburb it has transformed over 15 years into a centre of Asian culture and immigration. I love it so! The best food has come to my front door!

Where were you? Respond in the comments to enter this competition :) Remember - 25 words or less for your official entry.

Where were you When you were Five?

Fly like a bird without any wings,
Roar like a lion without any fear,
Away from the stress and away from the selfish world,
Jump and laugh happily in that place.

When I was five, I hid
In a wonderful world of make-believe
    Faeries and magic; why did
It fade away or did I leave?
