Sport is more than a past time here in Australia - it’s more like the unofficial religion of the country. As long as we are going well in sport - and for a country of only 20 million we do quite well, then people think sport is great. When we start losing, Fleet Street’s greatest hyperbole-headline hardly raises an eyebrow compared to the commentary being spat out at TVs all over the country.

So today’s competition is in honour of that semi-religious event called ’sport’. I want to know what your greatest sporting achievement is.

I don’t mind if it’s ‘little league’ (I don’t actually know what that is), or if you were at a sporting event and did something ‘great’ in the audience. You may have even invented your own sport where you have achieved great things. Who knows? You do - so let me know too.
