Small money is boring money? Apparently so! What would you do with a dollar?

Use it towards bills. I lost my job today during budget cuts. I will use this old penny on the floor for bills.

or

I would buy a banana
a half pint of yougurt
and a pint of water
and have breakfast.
Gees, that’s boring and practical.
But delicious!

Well for what it’s worth *boom tish!* I reckon a dollar is pretty good earnings every day. It’s not much on the outside - and I (and probably you too) live in a wealthy country. A dollar used to buy me 100 lollies, my brother used to think he could get me to iron his shirts for fifty cents - it never worked. I have three brothers - and we used to setup ‘horror rooms’ where we’d make our room really dark and set traps for people to walk into. I got really scared one day and started crying. It wasn’t worth the 10cent charge.

Have you seen the almost hidden text in the footer of this site? “Over 1 billion people—1 in 6 people around the world—live in extreme poverty, defined as living on less than $1 a day.” For some - winning this could be double their income! Of course you might think that would be cool until you realise they’re probably not using the internet (or electricity). Would they have fresh running water? Maybe not.

Maybe you could give someone else a dollar or a few today?

The winner today is Melanie - who has lost her job and really even if she didn’t win, could use the dollar. Melanie - I hope you find a job soon. What kind of work are you in?

How’s the Weather? You’re a Winner #8

Surely one of the most over used lines to ever continue a competition conversation which is going nowhere quickly. Example below…

Weather - boringest topic ever
Photo by Clearly Ambiguous (but not awesome cartoon bubbles)

You know you have problems when you start the conversation with ‘how’s the weather eh?’ - This is may or may not be a feature of my conversations on a regular basis

Really - even my own websites are getting bored of it! One person showed up yesterday to give me an answer - and thus they have won the dollar. Now all the skill required here was to simply to be able to type less than 26 words. Congratulations Tony! I hope the weather is looking up for you today.

It’s not bad, pretty good really, looking up, be absolutely mint soon. Might hang washing out, mow the lawn… as soon as this storm passes.

This time I’ve brought out an absolute cracker of a competition, 25 words or less with some good advice. There’s already triple the answers of yesterday’s competition - so I know it’s a winner.

Here’s some timely advice for myself: get an editor or someone with some level of immagination.

Tony - the dollar is on its way, enjoy it - go to town on it but don’t spend it all at once!
