Synopsis - This is Your Life!

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Believe it or not, we’re coming close to the end of March - 1/4 of the year has already passed with little achieved on my behalf for the rest of the world!

One might even say this could be my entry:

It’s March? But I wasn’t ready!

So slow down for a few minutes, (you’ve got a whole Easter weekend to come to terms with the fact that you don’t know what you’ve done this year) and write a great response to the question. I’m going to be taking a few days to think about it myself. I’d like to start a journal - you know, one of those things you write on paper? It apparently helps your memory and processing events for long term recall.

Oh and since it’s Good Friday-eve I thought this song might be appropriate to commemorate the night. Enjoy Reflect.

The pictures are not the meaning.

See you in a few days!

Valentine’s Day Winner in Distant Parklands

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

Congratulations to Cecile again with her best thing to do on Valentine’s Day:

Got no money,
But it won’t stop me;
To brag all day,
Come what may;
I’m the luckiest,
Loving my best–
Imperfectly best.

Some good entries again today, some proclaiming that you should climb a Hallmark building and reclaim the term ‘holiday’, others saying that the fluff just isn’t right and we should focus on God’s real love for us (I’m assuming that’s Jesus - sounds like a good idea.)

A friend of mine recently bought some roses a few days ahead of the big 14th - 80 bucks? That’s just not right!

How much have you paid for the privilege of getting a smile?

Byron Eats With Jesus - George Washington Eats With Wooden Teeth

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

The weekend competition seemed to be as high quality as ever (with just 5 entries you might be thinking there were lots, but there weren’t) - and always there is a bit of fun coming back on Monday (even though it was Australia Day here) and checking the entries and choosing a winner. Byron snuffed out the competition with an amusing response to the competition on the one person in history who you would eat dinner with (and why) :

Jesus, because then I could invite 5,000 other friends and not stress about catering.

That tickled my fancy the most and it was judged best for the weekend! There was an entry (only winners get their entry named) close behind with this little one though:

George Washington. I’d like to see just how he ate with wooden teeth!

I’d like to see that too!

Byron the dollar is on its way - invest it wisely, but remember - don’t spend it all at once.
