#2 In 25 words or less write a poem about pets.

Great entries this round - we enjoyed them all. In the end Jono won with a humorous little rhyme that made us all laugh quite loudly. The ending was so unexpected it was quite a good little turn:

She always knew when I felt down
And we’d go for a walk to China town
I miss my dog- but dang, she tasted GOOD!

Everyone has an opinion about pets. My dad hates pets - we had a dog for years, a cat for years but he always hated them (well okay I don’t know if he really hated them but he wasn’t lovey dovey with them). I don’t know why, was he hurt by a pet when he was a child? Here’s my reason:

Was my dad hurt by a pet?
He hates them I do not know why
He’s not really an angry man
A pet lover inside.

Now I know you can do better than that - lucky for you it’s the weekend and I’m going to give you a few extra days to work on it. Come my Monday, the prize will be given to (and I hope it’s true) a much better poem than mine!
