Happiness is a Warm Gun

Five points if you can tell me who wrote this without using Google to find it.

Happiness is a warm gun
Happiness is a warm gun, momma
When I hold you in my arms
And I feel my finger on your trigger
I know nobody can do me no harm
Because happiness is a warm gun, momma
Happiness is a warm gun

Melanie said she was most happy today - and happy she should be because she’s won the one dollar! Melanie said :

Happiest where I can sit with my laptop have a latte while the rain runs down the window. - The coffee shop -

I love the romanticised idea of sitting in a coffee shop, water pattering on the windows and cars flying by splashing water on little suckers who just happen to pass that puddle at the wrong moment. The only problem with it for me is that I just sit there and fidget all the time. I can’t quite relax. I’d probably need some sort of blanket too and ear muffs.

It’s cold like winter outside today. It isn’t winter - it’s supposed to be hot!

Melanie, go get yourself a cool drink. I’m sure where you are the weather is doing something erratic as it always does.

There was one other entry I wanted to highlight today… it reminded me of university days - you know the type I’m talking about:

I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by good buddies,
We run around like lunatics and ignore our studies.
We play all day,
And rock all night.

  1. Melanie Shebel Says:

See, I am always super relaxed at a coffee shop and it’s probably the only place where I can really do that. I could make myself a cup of coffee at home, but it’s just not the same.

War Child & Bosnia are songs by my favorite band in high school the cranberries. I was also against military action in Bosnia and preferred a peace treaty.

  2. Melanie Shebel Says:

The Beatles wrote it; I didn’t use Google, I normally would but you said not to, so this is the first time I’ve used MSN Search.

  3. Byron Smith Says:

Bono - or did he steal the lyrics?

  4. harley Says:

i think it’s a beatles song - so lennon or mccartney.

  5. Ants Says:

Oooh Byron you know you’re a sneaky man. He did sing it yes - but I have branched out, I know at least more than one band ;) I suppose you could say “Charles Manson stole this from the Beatles - we’re stealing it back”.

I think that while Melanie was sneaky too, Harley should get the points. Indeed it was the Beatles. I never really did like the song though.

Hey Byron mind if I steal your points idea?
